Hot Air Balloons

On September 19, 1783, in Versailles, a hot air balloon carrying a sheep, a rooster, and a duck flew for 15 minutes in front of Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette, and the French Court. The first manned attempt came 2 mos. later on November 21st with a balloon made by 2 French brothers, Joseph and Etienne Montolfier. The balloon was launched from the centre of Paris and flew for a period of 20 minutes. The birth of hot air ballooning!!!
